MEET THE STAFF

North Jersey Pros

A life-long resident of Passaic County, Rich proudly joined the NJ-PROS staff to assist the team with its marketing efforts, development of strategic partnerships, and community relations. He also serves as an assistant coach for the NJ-PROS. 

 

Rich brings over 12 years of professional coaching and sports management experience to the organization. He worked as an accountant for the New Jersey Devils professional hockey team, served as an assistant coach with the professional minor league basketball team, New Jersey Lightning, and was an assistant coach/scout for the New Jersey Revolution, professional indoor football team.

 

Rowbotham earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University. He is a member of the Clifton Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame and a Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic certified coach. Rich coaches various youth sports programs throughout the year. He is actively involved with numerous nonprofit organizations and has even created his own online goodwill campaign in the fight against cancer, ClickOutCancer.com

Peter Rosario
Advisor

Peter is the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Ocean  County. He has an extensive background in non-profit administration and serves as the Chairman of the Financial Development Network for the New Jersey State Alliance of YMCAs. Peter also serves as a member of the Board of Education for the City of Passaic. From coaching to providing guidance, Peter has been a major part of the NJ-PROS organization and its success throughout the years. Peter is a highly successful youth basketball coach and is extremely involved with numerous community and nonprofit organizations.

 

Peter holds the Certified Fundraising Executive designation (CFRE) and is a graduate of Fordham University.

A former Passaic High School basketball player and graduate of '94’. Ed fully understands what it takes to build a winning program on and off the court. He currently serves as General Manager and assistant coach of the NJ-PROS and is responsible for assisting the team owner with evaluating players, handling players' contract negotiations, and scouting. Furthermore, Ed, who played professional basketball in the Dominican Republic, will continue to develop connections and relations with overseas leagues, teams, and coaches.Ed is currently employed as a mechanical engineer. He is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is the owner of Top Money Productions, LLC. Herrera is highly involved within the community as a volunteer in nonprofit organizations and schools, teaching youth basketball.

 

Matt Riccardi
Advisor/Consultant

Matt was the NJ-PROS first head coach. Currently, he is the Basketball Operations Manager and Scout for the Brooklyn Nets of the NBA as well as Assistant General Manager and Scout for the Long Island Net - the Brooklyn Nets NBA Developmental League team.

 

Matt came to the NJ-PROS after a successful college career as both a player and a coach. A graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler, Matt obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree in Business Management.

 

Matt served as team captain for two seasons and led The University of Texas at Tyler Patriot men’s basketball team to their first ever post season appearance. Upon completion of his playing career, Matt served as an assistant coach for the Patriots for the 2008-2009 season. His duties ranged from practice preparation, video coordination, individual skill workouts, opponent scouting, player assessment, and helping the students grow as basketball players and individuals. Several of his players have gone on to have successful pro careers overseas.
